Drug Trafficking Arrest Made

Drug trafficking arrest made after traffic stop in Elcomb. Drug arrests made in Hiram. Shields man arrested on drug trafficking indictment stemming from HCSO investigation.

On June 2nd past midnight, Deputy CJ Reed executed a traffic stop on KY Hwy 72 in Elcomb. Through investigation a box containing suspected methamphetamine and paraphernalia associated with drug trafficking was located along with over $500 cash. James Stephenson was arrested and charged with Trafficking in Controlled Substance 1st degree and Drug Paraphernalia buy/possess.

On May 30th, Deputies Mark Saylor and Austin Reynolds made contact with 2 subjects in Hiram. Through investigation suspected methamphetamine was found on both subjects. Zebadiah Carter was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance (methamphetamine) and Public Intoxication. Jessica Miles was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance (methamphetamine), Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd degree, Drug Paraphernalia buy/possess, Public Intoxication and served a child support warrant.

On May 29th a Shields man was arrested by Evarts Police Department Officer Bryan Napier on an indictment stemming from an investigation by the Harlan County Sheriff's Office. Allen Murray was arrested and charged with Trafficking in a Controlled Substance (methamphetamine).

Over the last 2 weeks the Harlan County Sheriff's Office has served 6 child support warrants, 14 bench warrants and 8 individuals on Harlan Circuit Court Indictment warrants. If you know the location of any wanted individuals please contact the Harlan County Sheriff's Office.
