Drug arrest made in Cumberland. Importing Carfentanil and Fentanyl warrant served in Cawood after HCSO investigation. Drug trafficking investigation leads to Probation Violation warrants served on Sergent Drive in Baxter.
On Thursday June 22nd, Deputy Josh Sargent and Probation and Parole officers responded to a residence on Scott Avenue in Cumberland to serve a Parole Violation warrant. Upon making contact with the subject, suspected methamphetamine was found. Deputy Josh Sargent arrested Tracy Cloud and charged him with Possession of a Controlled Substance Methamphetamine and served the Parole Violation warrant.
On Thursday June 22nd, while on patrol in the Cawood community, Deputy Jacob Rich observed 2 subjects attempt to hide from him as he drove by a known drug area. Rich quickly made contact with the subjects and while investigating he heard noise coming from a residence in which the occupant had active warrants stemming from an earlier investigation by Sergeant Geary Ferguson. Rich established a perimeter of the residence until Sergeant Ferguson and Deputy Josh Lewis arrived and after multiple attempts to communicate entry was forced on the residence. Deputies found a male subject hiding in the residence. Christopher Stewart was arrested by Deputy Rich on a warrant taken by HCSO for Importing Carfentanil, Fentanyl or Fentanyl Derivatives and Drug Paraphernalia buy/possess and was also served a Parole Violation warrant. A bag of suspicious substances was also seized and sent to the Kentucky State Crime Lab for identification.
On Wednesday June 21st, Deputies were conducting a drug trafficking investigation on Sergent Drive when through investigation it was determined the target had active Probation Violation warrants out of Harlan and Bell County. Deputies accompanied by Probation and Parole officers responded to the residence. Caitlin Stokes was arrested by Deputy Jacob Rich on 2 Probation and warrants and a Bell County Circuit Court bench warrant.
