Multiple agency effort leads to drug bust in Lynch.
On Tuesday September 19th, Lynch PD Chief Allen Layne accompanied by HCSO Sergent Brian Maas, Deputy Caleb Carmical with K9 Sjors and KSP Troopers from Post 10 responded to Gilbert Drive in Lynch after a combined drug trafficking investigation between HCSO detectives and Chief Layne, to serve 2 individuals with Parole Violation warrants. During the execution of the warrants, a large amount of suspected methamphetamine, heroin, drug paraphernalia associated with drug trafficking and US currency were located in plain view of the arrests. 
Calvin Pace and Candy Ball of Lynch were arrested by Chief Layne and charged with Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree 2nd Offense Methamphetamine, Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree Heroin, Drug Paraphernalia buy/possess and Parole Violation warrants. Pace was additionally arrested on a child support warrant. 
The Harlan County Sheriff's Office is actively working with every agency in Harlan County on drug trafficking investigations and more arrests are pending.
