Traffic stop leads to drug trafficking arrests in Dayhoit.
On Friday September 22nd, Sergeant Brian Maas and Deputy Caleb Carmical with K9 Sjors conducted a traffic stop in Dayhoit in accordance with an ongoing drug trafficking investigation. Deputy Carmical deployed K9 Sjors for an open air sniff of the vehicle in which Sjors alerted on the vehicle. During a search of the vehicle, suspected methamphetamine and other controlled substance were located along with drug paraphernalia associated with drug trafficking and US currency.
Monica Napier was arrested by Deputy Carmical and charged with Trafficking in Controlled Substance 1st Degree Methamphetamine, Trafficking in Controlled Substance 2nd Degree, Trafficking in Controlled Substance 3rd Degree and Careless Driving.
Austin Barga was arrested by Sergeant Maas and charged with Trafficking in Controlled Substance 1st Degree Methamphetamine, Trafficking in Controlled Substance 2nd Degree and Trafficking in Controlled Substance 3rd Degree.
Several drug trafficking investigations are ongoing and more arrests are pending.
